Red Wing Shoes The Silversmith Ladies Boot
The Silversmith was inspired by the men's Blacksmith, including the Vibram® 430 Mini-lug outsole, the clean toe, and simple construction. It shares a last with the Iron Ranger for the same fit and comfort but the extra height of the shaft protects ankles from any stray embers in the workshop or by the camp fire. The 3362 features premium Red Wing Copper Rough & Tough leather.
THE HISTORY BEHIND THE STYLE
Versatile and reliable, this style of shoe was originally used in farm fields and blacksmith workshops during the day before being cleaned and shined up for a night out on the town. The extra height of this 7-inch style, which would have protected feet and ankles from hot cinders at the forge, still keeps out snow in the winter and dirt in the summer, and its last-built construction keeps feet comfortable even after long hours of work.
Oil Tanned Leather
S.B. Foot Tanning Co. is best known for Oil-Tanned leather which is used to build a variety of timeless Red Wing styles. This leather is water, stain and perspiration resistant, and has a more natural look and feel because less finishing materials have been applied, allowing its natural beauty to shine through. Oil-Tanned leather is exceptionally durable and has been used to build countless work boots throughout Red Wing’s 110+ year history.
